We are honoured to use the name
Hua Tahi: Kia Whai Wāhi
Te Hunga Whaikaha.
This name was generously gifted by Reimana Tutengaehe [Ngāi Te Rangi], who provided te Reo translation and interpretation expertise to the Flourishing Together project.

Bearing fruit together
Hua = to bloom, to be abundant, to bear fruit.
Tahi = together, simultaneously – as a modifier, it indicates that two or more things are happening or being affected by something at the same time.

Giving opportunity to the disabled community
whai wāhi = giving someone the opportunity to have a space and to participate
hunga = group; demographic
whaikaha = disabled people
